CSI PROJECTS
Dube TradePort Corporation recognises that South Africa faces socio-economic challenges and acknowledges that everyone has a role to play in resolving such issues.
The organisation has, accordingly, introduced a comprehensive Corporate Social Investment Programme, aimed at making a telling difference to the lives of its identified beneficiaries.
The programme is founded on three primary pillars, being:
- Education and skills development;
- Environmental sustainability; and
- Socio-economic upliftment.
Broadly, the organisation targets the historically disadvantaged communities in areas surrounding Dube TradePort Special Economic Zone. In so doing, it has provided local schools with solar installations, rainwater harvesting facilities, science laboratory kits, school textbooks and libraries.
In addition, particularly needy and vulnerable learners have been provided sets of school uniforms, whilst young girls have been given sanitary packs.
Further, qualifying KwaZulu-Natal-based students have been awarded study bursaries, whilst numerous graduates have been afforded access to Dube TradePort Corporation’s comprehensive Internship and In-service Programmes.
