Dube TradePort Corporation has established a robust corporate social investment programme that have a keen focus on the development of education within the province of KwaZulu-Natal. The organisation has a portfolio of programmes that include providing: photovoltaic solar installations, rain water harvesting tanks, libraries, food gardens, maths and science kits as well as school uniforms to some 20 schools within eThekwini and Ndwedwe.
“The Department of Education in KwaZulu-Natal would like to place on record its sincere thanks and appreciation to Dube TradePort for working closely with schools in the Billy Nair (Tongaat) Circuit in the recent past…(the programmes) have certainly provided our schools with much needed support. These initiatives would be almost impossible as a result of our schools being seriously constrained by financial resources…” noted Mr S.A. Chetty, Tongaat Circuit Manger in a letter to Dube TradePort Corporation.
Dube TradePort aims to continue providing such assistance to schools that are located within its specific target area, the goal of the programmes that Dube TradePort introduces to each of these schools is to help nurture the development and sustainability of these institutions, where they have the necessary resources and knowledge to succeed.
