Support Zone
A Support Zone, comprising a number of nodes, is to be developed as part of the Dube TradePort to meet expected demand for facilities associated with major airports, such as nearby offices, business services and tourist transit accommodation.
Phase one of the development will see the Support Zone comprising a secure world-class 24-hour business and trade environment, inclusive of business parks and offices, hotels and specialist conference or meeting facilities, supportive retail facilities and the development of international trade centres.
The clustering of such services in the Support Zone will ensure an enhanced focus on international trade by furnishing exporters and corporations from Southern Africa with viable opportunities to exhibit and sell their goods. Essentially, the trade and exhibition centre will be geared to providing a vital shop-front for showcasing African exports, along with products being marketed in South and Southern Africa.
The first phase of the zone consists of 12ha of developable land and takes up 55 000 square metres of floor-space. |
